There are lots of exciting changes happening at the Pro Vox studio in the coming months... Please bear with us across early 2025 as our website goes through some gradual edits and adaptations... All of the basic information about our staff/training/fees are accessible as usual, and our contact form is working as normal!

Pro Vox Director, Carrie Simone Birmingham has a over 16 years of teaching experience primarily as a 1to1 singing teacher working with ages 6-75 in all contemporary genres, with specialist knowledge and ability in pop belting, rock and extreme vocal fx, vocal health and rehabilitation. Her years of experience are supported by a PgCert and MA in Vocal Pedagogy with Voice Study Centre, alongside on-going PhD study due for completion in 2027. 


Presently Pro Vox have two senior staff members, Director Carrie and Co-Director Megan, supported by various sub-contracted freelance staff who are all developing their knowledge and teacher training experiences as temporary vocal teachers in-house at Pro Vox.  We cater for singers of all contemporary genres, from beginner to advanced performers, aged 6 to adult and have particular specialisms to support those struggling with vocal health, developing stamina and flexibility, confidence building and battling performance anxiety, external medical or learning barriers, and neurodiversity's. Our Director Carrie also has experience working with transgender singing voices and those undergoing preop procedures, alongside public speakers and actors struggling with fatigue or issues with projection, tone and articulation. 


At Pro Vox our vocal students have the chance to take part in London College of Music (LCM) singing examinations up to two times a year, along with a variety of live annual showcase events at venues across the city suited to diverse contemporary music genres.

 


Our Director Carrie is also based in the monthly Professional Voice Users Clinic at the NHS Liverpool University's Broadgreen Hospital Trust as a Vocal Rehabilitation Coach and is an assessor to the Vocal Health First Aider certification with Vocal Health Education, UK. Find out more...


We are presently based in a multi-room teaching studio space within Box Studios, just a short walk from the Liver Building, However, we are re-locating early 2025 back into central Liverpool close to our location before the COVID19 pandemic happened. Find out more...
