Megan is an advanced Liverpool based singer who has trained under our Director Carrie for many years. Since finishing a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in music performance at Hugh Baird College in 2015, Megan has focused on songwriting, building up her performance and industry experience working as part of a band and as a solo artist. In more recent years she gained her BSc in Occupational Therapy, which she has completed alongside continual progression as a performer and vocal teacher with Pro Vox. Her sights are now set on merging her vocal teaching and occupational therapy skills to assist professional performers in forthcoming Masters studies.
As a performer Megan's specialisms lie within pop, rock and acoustic songwriting genres. She is an active songwriter but focuses most of her present time developing her expertise in vocal training and vocal health to guide and train a diverse range of vocalists across the Merseyside area.
Since beginning teacher training with our Director Carrie in early July 2017, Megan has acquired advanced skills required to assist students in developing their singing ability via the application of vocal technique and knowledge of anatomy. She is continually studying under the guidance of our Director Carrie, and began teaching for Pro Vox in September 2017 initially starting with beginner vocalists. Since 2017 Megan has been on a pathway of over 8years of 1to1 teaching assisting a diverse range of singers, including those with particular educational needs and neurodiversity's.
Megan completed her Teaching Diploma specialising in Popular Vocals with the London College of Music in 2019 achieving an extremely high approval grading from the examiner. Most recently, in 2023, Megan qualified as a Vocal Health First Aider, with Vocal Health Education and has prospects to begin a Masters Degree in the near future.
As our Co-Director and newly appointed Pre-Advanced vocal teacher, Megan is available for bookings and is recommended to vocalists who are looking to improve their ability and confidence as vocal performers. Megan would be the ideal choice of teacher if you are an intermediate-advanced singer, new or returning to singing technique training, are struggling with vocal fatigue or effort when singing, have interest in power vocals, and those going through teen voice change.
Any students working with Megan will gain the opportunity to take part in our live performances throughout the year, along with LCM vocal exams. Students also have access to our Advanced Teacher and Director Carrie, who works closely with Megan to ensure the very best possible training and opportunities for students of Pro Vox.
Bookings are available across Mondays to Thursdays with Megan. Or book a Consultation with Carrie to find out more about how we can help and which teacher would most suit your needs.
